A stage for the stories
that actually matter.

7Slides is a curated live storytelling event that brings together a diverse, intergenerational audience to hear real stories — told by real people, through seven personal photographs.

Each presenter gets exactly 7 minutes and 7 slides. No bullet points. No decks. Just a story, images that lived it, and a room full of strangers becoming less strange.

We built 7Slides as an antidote to social media's highlight reel — a space where authentic experience is the currency, and showing up in person is the point.

01 Curated presenters. Every story is selected — not to filter out imperfection, but to ensure genuine human depth.
02 Intergenerational by design. The room includes people across every decade of life. That gap is where the magic happens.
03 The constraint is the format. Seven minutes. Seven photos. Enough to tell a story. Not enough to hide behind production.

Be in the room
when it starts.

7Slides events are small by design — around 50 guests per night. That means we can't open the doors to everyone at once, and we wouldn't want to.

Submit your email and we'll send you an invite link to the first event as soon as the date is confirmed. You'll also receive occasional notes on upcoming themes and community news.

No spam. No noise. Just your invite.

We'll only contact you about 7Slides events and community news.

Your
questions.

Everything you need to know before requesting your invite.

A curated group of presenters each take the stage for exactly 7 minutes, sharing a personal story through 7 photographs. No script requirement, no performance coaching — just a person, their images, and their experience. Between stories, guests mingle. The evening creates the conditions for genuine conversation.

Presenters are curated by the 7Slides creative team around each event's theme. We look for authenticity and genuine story depth over polish or public profile. If you're interested in presenting, request an invite below and mention it — we'll reach out when casting for an upcoming event.

Submit your email above. When the first event date is confirmed, you'll receive an invite link directly. Events are intentionally small — around 50 guests — so we can't guarantee a place for everyone who requests one, but being early helps.

No. 7Slides is an independent format created by Jason Hackett. Inspired by storytelling traditions like The Moth and the visual constraint of the classic slide show, but entirely its own thing — built around community, intergenerational connection, and the power of the personal photograph.

Currently based in New York City. Venue selection is part of the curation — spaces that reinforce the intimacy and warmth of the format. Specific venues are shared with invited guests ahead of each event.

That's the plan. 7Slides is built to expand — through our own events in new cities and through a future licensing model that allows trusted hosts to bring the format to their communities. Register your interest and tell us where you are.
